"Dang it, son, you're gonna tear up the hydro drive! Quite taking too big of a bite, you'll put extra stress on the blade! Boy, don't look at me like I'm crazy, get in back in the house! I'll just do it myself, then......I just don't understand your generation!"

There, does that help you get back to where you were?

Eddie, don't feel bad.......I'm #3.....I was thinking dirt.....I've been looking for a two bottom plow, so I've had "plow" (dirt) on the brain.....

I saw snow twice last year. Once was after leaving Rob's house in California, and driving up to the Sequoia's. The other time was two days later in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California. Now I'm good for another ten years of not seeing it!!!!!

What's really funny is that I don't even think about what you guys have to deal with every day. I'm wondering about when to start working on my dirt for my garden. It was 60 today and really a pretty nice day.

Eddie
When I see a post saying Plowing this time of year I think of white snow not dirt.
Got our whole back yard cleared of snow yesterday. Getting ready to exit the cold and enjoy the no snow weather you have down there in TX.

I got into trouble with the wife the other day over letting my son plow snow with the tractor. He was asked by the neighbor to clean up the driveway and asked me in front of his mother if he could use the tractor, I had to say okay when I finish my driveway.

I finished my driveway then decided to not bother my son to get him back outside in the cold so I drove to the neighbor and started cleaning up the snow there. Well, the wife shows up abotu 5 minutes later, not pleased, she asked why I wasn't letting our son do this, don't you trust him she asked. Now, my son is 28 years old and very responsible, but how does one explain that they enjoy the seat time and still make it sound like I was doing my son a favor?

you dont. dont pass go. go to the dog house.:D:p sorry i couldnt resist. All i can say right now is hopefully you can woo your wife with flowers and take her out to dinner then ask for forgiveness and willingness to do it next time. After all you need her to let you get more toys - opps i mean equipment for your tractor. ;)

It's never a mistake to get a kid interested in doing something productive. I've found it best (and easiest) to just hand him the ball and let him run with it, despite the screw ups. My son, now 22, frequently growls and grumbles that I hog the tractor and give him the all the s__t jobs. I'm likely to claim the same thing.

Thanks for saying that oldchuck

It is never a mistake to teach your son anything. what are you doing on the P.C., go rebuild an engine with him. (I know HE doesnt want to spend 24/7 with you) but give him every lesson you can. I likely never would have chased moose into the ditch at 1am with a fully loaded pickup and 18ft trailer
if I didnt have his help. LOL he was a pro with the moose:rolleyes:
Never know when its too late.
