Is this acceptable quality on a brand new Kubota?

In my opinion they have more to do than just replace the loader to make it right, they need to do it in a timely manner to make it right. It's been over a month already. How long does it take to make a decision?

Kubota deserves all the bad PR this is generating for dragging their feet. Unless they really wanted to see how upset this would make people and how many care before bringing their standards back up.

Hang in their Bandaman, I'm pulling for Kubota to come through for you.

As for it being a tractor, i agree to a point, scratches happen, but also do to the amount of money we spend for a QUALITY item from Kubota is none the less, typically more than an XXX brand. Therefore quality is paramount and expected! How each of us cares for our machines is our own business. I wash and wax mine, mostly because it will be a cold day in **** before I could afford another, which is also the reason I shelled out more for the Kubota name, longitivity.
As for the welds, there is a very valid reason proceedures are in place for qualifications, proper fit up, rod selection, pre and post heat treatments, and of course inspections. It has to do with something that many of us in construction are very familiar with, SAFTEY.
One thing Bandman, with all the support you have recieve here, perhaps you could post an email address of the bota rep you dealing with. I bet if they had 20,000 emails coming, they would move much faster than 4 wheel low!

It would be interesting to have a talk with your wife and family and see how your life compares with what you preach. Let's be honest. When you are dealing with big companies it does take time for things to move up the ladder.

Thanks kubota fan, it is quite interesting to talk to my wife and family but it would be polite to leave them out of this. Far as I can tell enough time has passed for 22,334 views of this thread and 289 comments from a varitey perspectives.

I'd think someone at Kubota could make a phone call and get a decision. Around here we call it "putting out fires." Didn't mean to offend.

you obviously haven't had to deal with large companies,, The larger they are, the slower a decision process is,, Why, I have no idea,,, On here, maybe 3 or 4 yrs back was a guy in California with a brand new small New Holland, I forget, maybe 24 hp or so,, It took him close to 2 years before NH replaced his tractor free of charge... This is a long, long time to wait, and if you quit making the agreed upon payments,,, guess who loses again,.

Nope, never dealt with a large company. You guys can take it from here, I'll just watch and learn.

Sounds like you paid 100% for a tractor that was only 96%. Ask the dealer for a 4% discount and see what he thinks about all the "minor" imperfections........

That's ridiculous!

They have to pull a brand new loader out of the warehouse and ship it to the dealer. Guess what - dealers don't get one machine or one attachment shipped out special just for them in most cases - they get whatever they get that fits on a load, be it a full load to one dealer, or a full load to a number of dealers in the area.

Who really cares how long it takes to get it in, so long as it gets taken care of? They told Bandaman to go ahead and use the loader until the new one comes in. Yes, those welds may eventually fail, but I doubt they will fail in a month or two of use.

It sounds like Kubota and the dealer are going to take care of Bandaman. Man, some of you guys are out of control! It's one freakin' loader that we've heard of on TBN, and you're ready to start a personal crusade to try to bring down the entire company. It's obvious based on all the other replies from Kubota owners that this is a rare instance of something substandard slipping through the cracks.

I really don't think it's grounds for Kubota being run through the ringer just yet. But since you are so upset over this massive injustice, maybe you should show them you mean business and get rid of your Kubota, since the mere thought of the company disgusts you so, and since you think their overall quality has completely disappeared.

Meanwhile, Bandaman can continue to enjoy his new machine, with the substandard FEL welds while he waits for a new FEL with nice, clean welds.

Guys,

I have not posted on this thread for awhile because I am still patiently waiting for a resolution. As far as I know, it is in the works.
Mike

Just from a devil's advocate view, I wonder if someone is waiting for you to calm down or the loader to be too used to be returned? I wonder if corporate Kubota is even aware of your problem? I would wonder where "in the works" this is? Georgia? Japan? The back room? Decesions like this are made in 15 seconds. If I'm waiting for a train, I want to know it's coming.

I am way too pushy but have been in your shoes before and the longer I waited, the harder things went. In my view sufficient time has elapsed to pony up with a new loader or the cash. Just my two cents.
