....I wished I lived closer to Messick Farm Equipment:D

Not just for discounts:rolleyes:, I've seen lots of good honest input on threads.
I wish more dealerships would jump on the web like this....maybe we would find dealerships that may be worth the travel!

The dealer that started this thread should be posted..........they should be exposed to the light of day and be held accountable for their actions. And I mean not the welds, we all have our own thoughts as posted, but the service and after issue support. That mower was a disgrace, I feel he was giving you a hard time for what had transpired. I wonder how Kubota would feel about "damaged" parts being placed on new machines at this particular dealer?? I would take pictures and forward to Kubota. And, I would be ****** if I found out my machine was delivered with said parts.

You know, I don't think it matters. Naming names will only provoke a he said--she said thing.

Better is this entire thread that taught us the lessons learned regarding what is acceptable in quality and dealer behavior and what is not and what to do about it. I had forgotten.
I'll bet nearly every one of the 38,000 that read this thread will look over their next purchase with the eyes of a jewler. The price of quality seat time is eternal vigilance.

The dealer that behaves like his in this kind of difficult economic environment is not likely to be around forever. The boom of the 1990's until August of 2008 covered up a lot of sins. Those days are gone.
I would hope we can keep tabs on the dealer as the small tractor market struggles and lower grain and milk prices couple with high input prices and whack the regular farmer. Ouch, that's gonna leave a mark.

You do not post the name of the dealer on Tractorbynet for several reasons, including:
1) Sure we believe our member is telling the truth, but it would not be right to only hear one side of the story without hearing the dealer's side, and
2) Tractorbynet is not a proper forum for settling disputes.

Bandaman,

Congrats on finally receiving your new loader. Sorry the experience has been such a let down. You obviously take more pride in your work than your dealer does.

I'm sure Kubota feels they have done right by you, but I don't think they learned much. Way back I posted an "if I was Mr. Kubota" response that hoped to jiggle somone higher in the tree into looking at this as an opportunity to help a customer and fix a systemic problem. They appear to have just chucked a new loader on a truck and let the dealer further abuse a customer relationship. No indication that they fixed the cause either. Too bad Kubota you fumbled this one badly.

Fortunately my dealer is quite good and seems to care about their customers. I can't help but think what a great opportunity it would be to start a new dealership within fifty miles of yours ;). Best wishes on a good tractor experience from here on.

What really stinks is that I had a fantastic dealer in MI. R&M Motors in Pontiac, MI is where I bought my BX2230 and I really liked working with them. Anybody in that area should go see them. Unfortunately, I moved about 500 miles away and felt that it would be better to deal locally. I goofed....In hindsight, I could have taken a couple days off work, drove to MI, spent the night, and hauled a new machine back with me. Or I could have made a deal with Barlow's and had them ship me a machine. What makes me feel really dumb, is that I have 3 other dealers closer to me then this one. I met with all of them and picked this one based on what I felt were superior capabilites. big mistake....My dad just bought his new GR2110 from the closest dealer...I'll be shopping there now, I know they will be happy to take care of any warranty work I might have on my new machine. No reason for me to ever go back to the dealer where I purchased this tractor and neither will my family, friends, co-workers, or anyone else I may run into that wants to talk about tractors....too bad for the dealer....that's some lost business there....I'm thinking between myself and my dad, we have alot more tractors to buy, My next one might be in the $30-$40 K range. We also have a 1086 and 986 IH on the farm that could be replaced any time with a similar sized unit....that's gonna be a big purchase that this dealer will miss out on.
