Is this acceptable quality on a brand new Kubota?

I wonder if kmdigital ordered a new pickup and when it came in it was painted with a brush if it would matter to him? I mean, so what, it is the right color, and the paint will keep it from rusting.

Kubota is one of the most expensive tractor brands out there.

Not true. They are typicaly the cheapest of the major manufacturers... not that thats any excuse though.

I exchanged a few emails with him a week or so ago. Seems like the wheels are turning to get him a new loader. I assume he'll jump back in here when that happens.

Guess it depends on who do you consider the major manufacturers. When I bought new (99) did not find that to be true if you considered detail to detail and spec to spec in the mid 60 hp. When about 3 years later again went to buy and first looked at new found NH and Kubota about same in a CUT. Ended up buying a used Kubota from same dealer had dealt with before. Price about 50 of new with about 300 hours on it. I very much realize pricing will vary from region to region and dealership to dealership. Here Kubota seems to command high respect.

Oh, local Kubota dealership sells Massey for lower price machine. But then they are not a manufacturer so I understand.

Charlton John's weld pictures look just like the welds on my New Holland, except mine are painted blue.:D

Really doesn't matter what brand a tractor those welds are on,they are terrible, ugly, not sound, defective, rejectable, etc.

Makes you wonder about stuff you can't see,if they are selling a product with these kinds of defects right out in the open can't miss areas.

There shouldn't be a problem getting your money back or a replacement,it don't matter if you didn't see it before buying. Fact is is it is defective, like buying something with half the bolts missing, defective as is.

Guys,

I have not posted on this thread for awhile because I am still patiently waiting for a resolution. As far as I know, it is in the works. I appreciate very much the support from many of you TBNer's and fellow tractor owner's. I can tell many of you have the same pride in your purchases and keep your stuff looking and working nice. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and they are all welcome on this open forum, but to a few of you, let's try and not make it personal. Its not personal to me, only business. Yes, I do have many more important things going on in my life and I am not losing any sleep over this. It does not, however, make it ok to accept a defective product, and I am not going to. It does not mean I need to post on here everyday and rant and rave and dump more fuel on the fire, then call my dealer and scream and send hate mail to Kubota. Let's be realistic. Yes, I am upset that this happened, but if anyone at the dealer or Kubota has made mention of me being anything other then polite and professional about this, I would be shocked. Mistakes happen, I'm hoping this one is being fixed properly. My guess is that the welds on new Kubota Loaders rolling off the line have already gotten better.

Mike
