Well, where to start?
I have been looking to buy a Kioti for some time, but no dealers in MD.
Was looking to buy a Bobcat, but things fell apart with that dealer and I was not really going to buy a tractor after that.
I had talked to Rick a couple times over the months, and ended up talking to him about the problems I had with Bobcat (dishonest loader specs, no bucket hooks, no loaded tires, no pallet forks, etc, etc)
Anyhow, Rick put together a package of what "I" really wanted in a few hours, and next thing I am headed 5 hours each way in a rented Ryder truck
(we drove it in off his loading dock, and I backed up to a hill at my place, and drove out).

The 1st thing you notice when you get to Wallace Tractor is that Amy Wallace is running the show :) Rick went over every thing on the machine (in a heated shop), then Amy went over all the paper work and manuals.
Spent the next hour loading the tractor into the box truck and BSing with Rick about business in general.

I will have to say, after meeting Rick and Amy, I felt really good about the long distance purchase. And have no doubt they will be around for the long haul. As Rick said "I won't sell you a tractor, but I will help you buy one"
BTW - the Ryder truck was $45 with the 1st 1000 miles free, an easy transport.

No seat time yet, I'll post more after I get seat time.

Very nice shiny new CK20 with a Fel, Slackdaddy. Is that a tiller on the back end I see also? You are really going to like that tractor.

I'll just bet you had a heck of a time trying to get that young fellow to help out andy drive that thing.

Slackydaddy-

I think your post is wonderful. Posts like yours really makes the dealers day! When you spend many days of conversations with a person, the kind of "thanks" that you gave, are what is important in the end. I am sure that you will be happy with your purchase.....that is another great benefit to an all around great experience!

Congrats and Welcome to the Pack! That sure is a purty tractor, looking forward to your initial impressions and some working photos. :D

Congrats there Slackdaddy. I thought you'd never pull the trigger. Know you've been looking for a long time. Good choice in dealers. Rick made me a deal I couldn't refuse either. He's like that, ya know.:D That sure is a purtty CK20.

Enjoy and be safe.

What are going to do for a backhoe now? You decide to keep the Case?

Yeh, their good folks.
He sounds a lot bigger on the phone :)
sold the case, the CK20 is a big change, the case loader could lift 6500#
but the CK does not leave a 5 gal puddle under it :)

I am going to pick up a woods BH70 this spring, when the cash permits.

Please enlighten us... :)

How is the back of the tractor anchored??

There are 2x4 screwed down to the floor to keep the machine from going sideways, forward or backwards.
The tiller was less than an inch from the headboard so if there was a sudden stop nothing would happen.

Every thing I have ever read on TBN recommends against using a Box Truck to haul a tractor with.
I don't think it is.
It may be blocked but I'm not sure it's anchored

Sheesh....guys like you makes a person just want to pound his head on the desk. Nevermind that the person was thrilled with his purchase.....and was thrilled with the service from the dealer. NOPE, got to be the old curmudgeon.

Well please take a bow, you guys deserve it. I am so thankful to the original poster for the post. Always nice to hear how both sides were happy.

If we were closer, we would have bought from you too!!

Having met Rick and Amy, and dealing with them on an almost tractor purchase... I am glad, okay my checking account is glad, they are not closer, otherwise I would be broke. They are great people, EXTREAMLY helpful, they did there best to guide me into a tractor that would fit my needs. Even though I ended up buying a used machine closer to home, but that didn't deter Rick. Even though he knew I was considering the used machine... he still helped me pick out/size a machine that would work best for me.
Hats off to the the Wallace Team. :) They are a heck of a Team and we are all better off for it!!

Do you really think that Rick would have let him head off to Maryland if he didnt think it was safe? He obviously made it with no trouble, and he has a slick little set up that anyone would be proud of.

Lets get this thread back on topic. I have been dealing with Rick in my quest for a tractor, and he has been nothing but professional and gentlemanly. Although I went another route with my tractor, I WILL be doing business with Rick in the future!!!! Way to go Rick, Keep up the good work. Having all of the good comments on here speak volumes for the way you conduct business!!!!!!!!:D

Maybe everything you've read is related to rolling loads. Non-rolling, i.e. chocked in all directions, tractors in crates, etc, have different restraining requirements especially in an enclosed truck/trailer. MikeD74T
