I like it. Looks like a GC series on steroids
I've heard some people comment that their 1500's head lights are not very good at night. Wonder if these will be an improvement?

I am very pleased with the lights on my 1547. High and low beam, Hella brand halogen lights in the grill. They seem equal to halogen headlights on a car. Great for distance on high, (not needed for tractor work, but would be good for transport) good close up coverage on low, then the cab lights fill in the rest, illuminating the front wheels and bucket/forks.

Did I say I was pleased with my 1500 series lighting?:D

it would be nice to have 2 sets of headlights like on that big one. loader work at night would be easier

Yea, notice the one pulling the trailer, the top headlights wrap around the side, pointing out to each side. Between those and the four cab lights, the nighttime would be like daytime.

They aren't (when using the loader as the loader blocks the light).

No backup lights either, so operating after dark is quite the exercise.

Ours are fine, but we don't have a loader.

It kind of looks like they were trying to make this new series look like their new big brother, but by only putting double headlights instead of 5 on each side, the look comes off like the tractor is "mad" like others stated. I'd love more lights!

I have a cab series so the cab headlights help a little when doing loader work at night. The cab also has back lights which I use quite often. Even with the etra lights the cab model offers, I'd still like to have more lights!

Did I mention I'd love more lights? ;)

Most all attachments for 1500 Series will work on the new 1600 Series. Many use current subframe design and drivelines.

I would visit your local Massey Ferguson Dealer for Pricing, Exact Specifiactions and more Product Details. Dealer Launch Beginning in April.

Wow. That's quite a list. The only gripes I had with my 1500 series was lack of height adjustable seat, noisy vibrating ROPS pivot, and poor lighting while using the loader.

Looks like two of them are addressed. Hopefully the seat is now height adjustable.

Kudos to MF for improving the compact line-up.

I sure it take some time to get used to the new look but they arent too bad.

I'm sorry, but they're ugly. Somebody said it, a 23xx on steroids. Kind of reminds me of Kubota's change from xx30s to xx40s, they are ugly, too. Glad I have a 1500 series. I'm sure plenty of other people will think they're OK and happily part with the money.

Any more news on the new 1600 series? I've been looking at the 1540, but they're a little "short" on leg room. :( If the 1600's have a little larger chasis, they might be just what I need.
