the 6.0liter is a little out dated still a great motor though. Now like you said the 6.2 is a new beast and cant wait to see it in the heavy dutys.

My prediction is the 6.2L will have more TQ in the HD's.

If GM's current '09 6.2L is making 403/417 isn't that better ALL other V-8 engines you listed above?

Last time I checked, 403HP is greater than 383, 381, 320 and 317 HP.

Last time I checked, 417TQ is greater than 404, 390 & 385 TQ, too.

Why are we comparing last year's GM motor to this years competition? Is that the only way you have to make GM look bad?
The 6L is an optional engine one step down from the 6.2L.

Why difference does HP/cubic inch make? If you knew anything about trucks, you'd know that more rotating mass is desireable in a truck.

To me, looks like Ford is the big loser. They're the only one with bigger displacement and a V-10 that can't even make 400HP.

Again, can you read? He is not was not talking about the 6.2 at the time. He was talking about the 6.0

You are right about the V10, but as you stated with others its a 10 year old engine and there are new ones in the works. But even with lower HP its still the winner in the torque war at 467# ft of torque which you conveniently did not mention to make the 6.2 look better. And as we know, maybe not you and a 10 year old girl scout, torque is what is desirable in a truck not horse power. Free lesson for you!

And yes, I know all about engines and displacement so maybe its time once again for you to head back to school Duane.

You're right, Chrissy, I forgot.... for GM to get any respect, their 8 cylinder, smaller displacement engine has to have more HP AND moreTQ than Ford's bigger displacement 10 cylinder engine. lmao

Your a funny guy with the Chrissy and Fordie thing. But thats what I would expect from a guy like you. In reality the 8.1 was the motor they should have keep built upon that, not the 6.0.
