You probably already know this, but Yanmar's RS1400 tiller is the model they originally sold with YM2000. (That tiller even mentions YM2000 on its decal.) You can search on RS1400 here for more info.

Where are you? It's probably not worth the shipping cost to buy one from outside your area.

Rodman,

Welcome to TBN.

You might check with some of the grey market dealers that frequent these halls as normally the tractors that are imported have a tiller also and sometimes the dealers sell these separately. You will not have to read far into the posts in this forum to find the dealers. Seems to me that somebody is there in the south. Fredricks? And somebody else that slips my mind at the moment.

Mike

Tillers for compacts seem to be pretty hard to find this time of year (almost spring)...I know, I looked. As of last week , Fredricks had none, But Tullahoma Tractor in Tennessee had some for between 500-800 which seemed steep to me. I ended up buying one that needed a lot of work but got a good price on it. Thanks to Danny Parker (1Danny) for all his help, I have it working.

Here are a few pics of a YM2000 and RS1400.Just wanted to show how pleased and what a good job it does on a small garden.I broke the ground in January and now getting ready to plant.I had to make a couple of passes earlier this but it looks like just one will do it from now on.So now it's time to pull the tiller and get ready to start mowing. My GM.is still my favorite and looking forward to start cutting, Just Love It:)

Carey, where did you hook up your work light?

Here's the wiring diagram. There should be a lead off of your fuse panel. But on mine had to go look to remember for sure the way the previous owner wired it there must have been a problem with the factory lead most likely to keep from blowing the fuse. They ran a dedicated line pos. with a inline fuse from the battery using a marine type battery conector to a toggle switch mounted on the dash to the light fishing the wire through the fender. Then they grounded it to the bolt for the handle on the fender.look closely to the side pic of my tractor and it's ran through the plastic blue caseing by the starter.

Can you turn the worklight on by itself. My headlights work fine after replacing the bulbs and a new fuse link.I had other electrical issues when I bought it didn't take much to figure them out.I don't hardly use it but was kind of curious why they wired it that way.

Curiosity kills the cat.I just ran out and to check it and it's hot.So I would have go back to they wanted to keep the load off the circut. It is kind of a pain to replace the fuse.I break glass type fuses for the element.Plus I still have the aux. open if ever needed. So no harm no foul.

The supports were damaged so they were removed.I noticed that other models didn't have them and others post that they didn't use them for various reasons.I will admit that they would be nice to have when attaching it to the tractor but it's not all that bad after doing it a couple of times.

I tilled it in Jan. for the first time not knowing what to expect the 1st. pass was in 1st gear then I made another pass in 2nd gear pto. fluffed it up nice. The pics. you are looking at I did a couple of weeks back in 1st. pto.
My spec. sheet lists the 3 pto gears at 588,730,1260 RPM.If 3rd was used it would probably turn it to dust.
