I just purchased this same JD one bottom plow from my local dealer for my 2305 tractor. My experience with plowing is very limited to about 30 years ago on my grandparents farm. So, I am real green and need some help from you folks.
Regarding this same setup as shown by kvjohndeere:
1) Have you had any issues with hooking the plow to the iMatch hitch versus just the regular 3PH? Does the lower link pins stay in the iMatch alright or do they ever pop out? Just wandering if I should remove iMatch and attach direct to 3PH hitch arms and upper center link to be safe?
2) Was there any preliminary adjustments I should make to the plow before starting?
3) Any potential problems to watch for during operation, based on your experiences?
4) Assuming I use front suitcase weights on the 2305, do I also need weights on the rear wheels?
5) Should I be engaging the 4 wheel drive when operating?
6) What engine RPM and ground speed do you recommend?
Thanks so much to everyone for any help.

I have Just front weights Yes I adjusted My plow as The manual Said ! Once I put The plow on I didnt have to adjust anything with The Imatch !JDTRAC said:kvjohndeere.... Sorry about being so technical, but a couple more followup questions:
1) I have front weights, but not rear weights. Do I need to purchase some rear weights?
2) The JD Operator's Manual gives fairly detailed instructions for installing the plow. Did you raise up and support the left side of the tractor 6 inches to make all the pre-setting adjustments? For example, did you have to loosen the two U-bolts attaching the mast to the beam to adjust width??
3) Do you have to re-adjust plow to iMatch every time you remove and then reinstall.
Thanks again kvjohndeere. You are a great resource for us.

And what ball park figure is JD selling this neat little plow for? I see Frontier is selling a 1 and 2 bottom plow but they don't have a gauge wheel or coulter disk. The 1 bottom sells for 723.00 on the build your own site.
