Mowing/Loading

I try to take my front loader off for mowing for three reasons:
1*The loader can smack and destroy other objects quite easily.2*Even with my rear tires loaded, the rear tires will slip a bit more and rough up the grass when the loader is on.3*The BX2200 is an ENTIRELY different tractor without the loader. It is a little sports car and will zip in and out of tight places. It's an absolute joy to mow without the loader. No wheel slip. No roughed up grass. Light steering, and tight turning when needed.

2*I don't have loaded tires on my BX23 but the BH keeps the tires from slipping when mowing with the loader on.
3*So is my BX1500 with just a MMM on it.

This might be a dumb question but I thought I read somewhere that you can't have the loader and the mower attached at the same time; true

You might be thinking of the owner's manual prohibition on using the MMM with the Backhoe connected.
Apparently, the 3pt lift can create a significant surge back to the BH valve that can damage the valve. The BH hose should be disconnected and the PB loop reconnected when using the MMM.

You can sometimes feel this surge in the power steering when the MMM is lifted all the way up and the steering wheel is turned.

taking the loader off for mowing is the way to go for sure. I agree that with just the mower the Bx turns into a sports machine . That loader can do a lot of damage and in rougher ground at higher speeds cause you to start bouncing from all that weight up front.

How on earth do you mow with the BH on.? The lift arms hit the BH operator platform almost immediatly when the deck is lowered...Unless you keep your grass a foot tall

The 3pt arms come off to install the BH. I have a full range of motion from my Mower with the BH installed.

Do you remove them from the cam gears? I've never removed them to put the BH on, just make sure the mower is up and no problem. I didn't think that taking those off was a good idea...I don't have the 3pt hitch on (Obviously that would never work). Mine are about 6" long an tuck up under the body when the mower is up. I'll have to look at that, although I can't see any reason to cut with the BH on

Just looked at mine...The arms aren't coming off without a gear puller. Maybe it's a difference in BX23's I dont know, but my mower leaked down a few inches and the arms are about 1/2" from the foot platform. Couldn't use my mower with the BH..Oh well...
