Does anyone know if crimp fittings are available for jinma backhoe type hoses? If I remember correctly they are an 8 mm thread for an o- ring face seal.(the o-ring is on the male threaded part fitting - the cylinders in this case. I am trying to avoid fabricating my own adapters.

I think they are bigger than 8MM. If I recall, they are 18MM... I havn't had any luck in my searching for a compatible metric ORFS connectors or adapters.

The valve on my hoe uses a straight metric to ORFS adapter on all the ports. I can source all kinds of adapters to this straight metric port locally. I have pretty much resigned myself, that if I need a hose that I can't get from a dealer, that I will us a metric to SAE adapter at the valve, a SAE off the shelf hose, and weld a SAE fitting to the cylinder...

Good luck

There is also one that has male 18x1.5 threads x #8 male JIC.
I think either one is about $20.00 a pop.

Bob, do you have a part number for this one?

Has anyone actually used a 9022F? The description on the Adaptall website says it is a swivel, but when you click on the part number for a description, it says and shows a sloid fitting adapter. Is it actually a swivel fitting? I don't know how well a solid adapter would work. As I understand it, an O ring face seal is sandwitched between a flanged swivel connection, and a flat faced male metric fitting with a limiting groove or lip machined into the face. The clamp force is applied by the threaded collar over the flange and screwed onto the male threads. Using a solid adapter, the faces will be rotating as final torque is applied, and "O" ring might not like this situation...

Yes, I used several of them awhile back when I converted all of my hydraulic valves. I'l dig through my paperwork and get the P/N.

I guess they call them a swivel because they can (I gave up trying to educate); some industry folks (me included) refer to them as a half-union because each end is one-half of a complete union of it's respective type.

Incidentally, the male x male adapter doesn't have an O-ring relief; I just used a copper washer - works great.

Actually, that's exzctly how it works. Use silicone lube on the O-ring. Not a big deal.
And yes, they are solid.
