coming soon
I have had it for approx two weeks and 25 hrs.
Believe it or not the Bradco hoe fell off the sub-frame. Subsequent damage to paint, grease fittings, bucket cylinder and hydro lines. It will be gone for a while. It appears the the two large pins that secure the hoe with the frame worked loose and fell out. The service tech informed me they had used other pins because the originals would not fit past the wheels ... lack of clearance because of the R4s. Maybe back next weekend maybe not, this wil be the first test of how they stand behind their setup (as this issue was not caused by original design). Yes Yes Yes I inspect prior to each key turn.

Ouch!

This is a pretty serious screw-up by whoever "redesigned" the pin connection. On other Bradco backhoes I've seen there are wedges that drop in from above that absolutely fix the bh to the subframe. The connection needs to be rigid - with no credible way to loosen or fail. If you get your machine back and have any doubt about the job I'd suggest contacting Bradco directly. Posting pictures here could also bring some ideas that might be useful. Good luck with this. Take care, Dick B

Dunno if this would help you, but when I installed my Woods hoe, the backhoe pins (actually bolts) would slightly rub the insides of my tires. I ended up buying Kubota's rear whell spacers...... under $200. The spacers not only made plenty of clearance for the backhoe pins, they made a noticeable improvement in stability.

Thanks for the info so far. I will know more monday morn when the techs have a chance to take a look. Oh, I was wondering how crazy is it to ask if at this time with 25+ hours to have the 50 hour service performed? I figure the surfaces must have mated at this time... and maybe the service is at 50 hours is for a nice round number and so that you are not back with the tractor in two days/weeks.
Thanks Mav

I'd wait to it has the 50 hours on it.
It may have break in oil in it.
Breake in oil should be run fot 50 hours. 25 hours isn't enought time for it.

Thanks LB59
I guess i was just trying to avoid another period of time without my new toy and also the round trip service fee of $110.00 ....
well after paying so much for it i surely want to break it in correctly.

Is there really such a thing as break in oil?

Yes, but I HIGHLY DOUBT anyone is using it in a backhoe. Usually in racing engines, hightemp applications...

Oh Yeah, Sorry to hear about the BH Mav...Good Luck!

I do not think the BH or FEL have a break in, I was referring to the engine. The service department told me they had not gotten around to look at it yet ("it is in triage sir") they will get to it as soon as possible. They picked it up within an hour from my call, you know they are glad that no injuries were reported. FYI they are approx 35 mins from my place.
