I tried to sneak up on our cat the other day while she was eating and it is almost impossible and it was on the kitchen floor but she just reacted to the sound of my cloth. Cats are amazing animals.

I haven't had much to post pics of lately. The hogs sort of wonder off for awhile, then the come back. I had a pile of corn building up that just sat there. Just the birds were eating it.

Then this week, it got interesting again.

The group of raccoons is a record. We've never seen that many before in one picture and we're surprised at how many are showing up for the corn.

Some of the pictures look a little foggy. That's because it had just rained. We had 1.3 inches on Friday and then on Saturday morning, another inch.

Any idea how old those babies are?

I have not seen red squirel in America yet, al we have in VA are grey ones. Is this one common in Maine?

Not too many, thankfully. But you'll never forget it if you run into one...

Pretty impressive squirrel. How big do your rabbits get?

Here in Northern Indiana we have at least 5 species of squirrels... red, grey, black and fox squirrels as well as flying squirrels at night. But none have approached the size of that one yet!

Nothing too exciting to report. There are a few small hogs coming out in the morning. Might be worth getting up early tomorrow, but then again, they look kind of small and I'd really rather move some dirt.
