as a guideline I search for Government Contracts from Dealers, there is one online that lists new Kubotas for 29.5% off list for tractor and 15% off for attachments, go to kubota web site get the numbers and deduct the discounts AND ADD say $700 for assembly for the Dealer, these numbers are real close to some of the GOOD Dealers that post on this site, so I would trust them to give you an honest price, or use the number to judge what your Dealers price is to you and negotiate.

Thats not really valid, government and non-profits get discounts that the rest of us do not. A church can buy a tractor cheaper than I could for my personal use. There is also huge variations of how much the discount is depending on the product line... almost nothing on RTV's to a whole lot on F-Series.

B2620, Loader, Backhoe, Thumb, Ballast Box = $21,155 delivered. Tax and insurance extra.

One tip that I got from my Kobuta salesman, is NOT to buy the Ballest Box. Rather, put that money into a attachment that can do real work, like a blade. Then when you need some ballast on the rear, just hook up the attachment to give you that weight.

The ballast box isn't useful for anything but ballast, whereas a real attachment can both act as ballast AND perform a necessary function.

I thought it was a great tip, so I'm passing it along.

Do you need any of that if you have the FEL hooked up? Or is this ballast box on the rear?

That's a great tip IF you do not have a dedicated use for whatever is on the other end.

I can imagine some businesses that know they will never hook up something else because it's only going to be used to move something around with the FEL.

A ballast box can also be used as a portable tool carrier, by putting pipes in before adding concrete. There is a member on here that has done this, and posted pictures.

I paid $17,300 delivered for a 2920 w/FEL, Ballast Box, Block Heater, and 40 AMP Alt. I know that's not a great price for this site.
I just was quoted on 4/29/09 $2500 for a 60" mower installed. Vs. $2300 If I install.

Seems like a decent deal! Thanks for sharing. How well does it run a 60" Brush hog?
