2320 62D deck

I bought a 2320 last winter to help with all my mowing and other chores. My main job for it was mowing the lawn with the 62D drive over deck. Early in the season I noticed the deck height control not adjusting correctly. The dealer worked on it and made it somewhat better but now I see that if I raise the deck all the way up it will settle back to the ground in 45 seconds even with the tractor running. I bought the hydraulic lift option which was not cheap and so far I am not happy. I think I may be going to put it back on the 3 point linkage...

Anyone else having these same issues???

Yep! When I had my 2320 it did the same thing with the hydro lift kit. It's the nature of the beast.

I just had this kit installed on my 2305, it does the same thing and the dealer has told me its not suppose to do that the tractor is there now and there checking it out I'll update when I get the tractor back.

Don't remember that happening on mine last year. The hyd lift will hold the deck up without locking via the adjustment knob. I plan to put the deck on to mow in the next couple days, I can check again.

I got my tractor back today,the deck will stay up now with the deck lock engaged. It however will drop about 1'' until it catches,deere told my dealer thats how it was designed to work. It wouldn't stay up before because the lock wasn't engaging.

I thought the lock system was to hold the deck up so one could use the three point. My deck on the 4110 only raises a couple inches. I don't know where the cylinder would mount to take over this function.
I wish I would have bought a rear mount finish mower. So much easier to attach. The mid mounts are very pricey new.... wonder what they are worth a couple years old ?

Hi Joe,
If you have a BH or take the mower off a lot then I'd definately get a 3PT. finish mower although they aren't cheap either. Woods gets about $2300.00 for a 6 footer if I remember.
I gave up my MMM with my new machine and bought a rotary cutter. I'm looking at a 445 zero turn. A MMM costs about 2.5 to 3k now but if you do mostly mowing on your tractor it's worth it as they do a really nice job once you get them on.
