There is a dealer of VN Recons about 20 miles from me. Very honest fellow. He has a dozen tractors parked down by the creek in back of his dealership. I asked him about them. He said 4 of them wouldn't work right off the container and that 8 of them broke down on the customers within 30 days of ownership and couldn't be fixed so he replaced them of refunded their money.

Well, I guess I'm glad to have a non-Viet refurb (as far as I know /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif) so I don't have to wonder about what was or wasn't done to it. Oh wait, I guess I still do, since the only history I have with it is mine............

...and I just keep putt-putting merrily along, mowing, disking, and working my bucket half to death. DO need to get the tires filled though. The thing sure is tipsy when pulling up fence posts. And a box blade is definitely an iminite purchase. Enjoy your Yanmars, guys. I'm enjoying mine. (Checked the fluids for the first time since I bought it a year ago. All are clean and up to level.)

The Zen noh tractors have the most problems. Mine was rebuilt by Frederick Machinery north of Birminham, AL. In Japan they are mainly used in rice paddies. The government subsidizes them and there is no used tractor market in Japan. I have a 1 year warranty. The zen noh does not. I looked long and hard and read all the forum post before buying. I have been very happy.

Huh? Yours is a rebuilt Zen Noh with/without warranty and you are very happy?

I thought 'Zen Noh' was just a hood decal on a Yanmar that shows it was marketed through a big rice co-op of that same name. How could they be any different in reliability?

Zennoh is NOT a manufacturer. It is a cooperative, and all Zennoh labeled tractors I have ever seen were made either by Kubota or Yanmar. I just love it:mad: when people post something like "the zennoh tractors have the most problems" and you know their total personal experience probably doesn't exceed three tractors...especially since they don't even realize it's just a label.

I got ripped off. I have a Zennoh & it came from the same importer. Guess I'll have to deal with all the problems that come along
