good morning gents.

All things being equal. IE: Price. If you had a choice between a Land Pride or King Kutter which would you choose?? Both are new and exact same price for 6 footers.

I would buy the KingKutter because of KK's great website and the fact that most TSCs still carry that line. That means parts and supplies are no further away than the nearest TSC. Compare the store's open hours to the dealers for Landpride and I think you'll find that TSC wins. Being open when I need them is big on my priority list.

I'd check the lowest mowing height capabilities of both, if it will matter to you. I have a KK 6 footer and it works fine, but it has a rather high blade setup. I think if the mower sidewalls drag it can mow at 5" maybe. Add an inch or two to that for practical mowing when you have the mower raised slightly above the ground and even more when it raises due to contours. For rough cutting, 6 or 7" inches is ok, but there are areas I'd like to mow at 3 or 4". Can't do it with my KK. Most other brands will mow down to 2".

Are you talking about a finish mower? I've never seen a brush hog that will cut to 2" without dragging the sides.

I stopped after looking up 2 brands, but both Bush Hog and Land Pride rotary cutters have minimum cutting height of 1 1/2" for their 72" models.
I think the KK cuts down to 2" on the 5 foot and under sizes.

My woods Brush bull, extreme, 7 footer will cut as low as 2", the specs say 1" but it is closer to 2".

Mine will cut that low as well, but the sides will drag. If I needed to cut to 2", I'd get a finish mower.

LAND PRIDE!!! No Contest here! Talk about "over-built" equipment! :p

There isn't a TSC within 100 miles of here that stocks enough KK parts to fill a shopping cart. And few of the stores have staff that is competent enough to order parts correctly when asked.

Another vote for Land Pride. Equipment appears to be very well built.
