Thank You all for ur replys.
Four the last few years I have been buying Weed eater (brand name ) they wieght about 12 lbs and are the lightest i can find to buy But they last about 2 yrs then it is time for a new one and the second year they are very hard to start and there is never a third yr.
I was hoping some one here had tryied the battery one o well thanks agn

How about clean burning, no mixing gas/oil, Probably has a fixed jet. No alcohol fuel problems. I don't think you have to prime. Eco friendly they say.

I bought the smallest Stihl gas wead eater. I think it was around $150 or $170. It is light weight (7 pounds I think) and starts easily. I have run it for hours at a time using many tanks of gas without problem.

Doug -- the lightest weedeater is probably the featherlight Weed Eater but it lasts less time than a bottle of Jack at a Frat party.:p
I too would vouch for the Stihl -- fairly light and can be repaired -- costs a bit more though
