But that couldn't be put in a P/U truck, a DT can. That's also no longer the "most powerful" engine anymore. Last time I talked to a Wartsila mechanic he said their flex line is now the most powerful. I was actually on one of the 96-C's a few weeks ago in the Baltimore docks. Quite a impressive machine to see in person.

It's factory set at 210, but I put the 250 pump, turbo & injectors on it and she churns out a lot more now. I have also played with the pump, timing and governor springs. I'd guess it's about 275/800 right now by the way it pulls compared to when I first got it.

I forgot to ask, does it have a side-by-side air-to-air or a full size one in front of the radiator.

Apples to Oranges? Just because Dodge had the good sense to use a commercial grade engine in its heavy duty trucks doesn't mean they shouldn't be compared directly with the lessor competition. IMO. I own a 06 2500 w/ Cummins. It is the ONLY truck you should consider for serious hauling. I am a commercial driver so I know a thing or two about heavy trucks. And by the way , its hardly "shoehorned in" I bet I have as much or more room under the hood as you do!

Full size CAC in front of radiator. She runs really cool even turned up. I have the pyro tip mounted in the ex. manifold and she won't go much over 1150 fully loaded on hills. I thought of maybe porting & polishing the head for more power.
