Tree watering trailer.

All great ideas that I'm going to stash in the back of my mind as I need something for watering my trees when the water department shuts off the non-potable irrigation system for the winter.

Hey!! I wonder if those IBC's would make a ready made man lift, (with pallet forks), if you take the container out the top and cut a cross member to put a chain and clip for entry??? What do you think?

Interesting idea! I've never seen one up close, so I don't know how sturdy the frame is; but if it can handle a full tank of water or other fluids, then I would think it could be modified to be a manlift.

I think Barry needs a mule to retrofit on his ole timey watering wagon...(that's pretty neat).

I wouldn't try as it is single use engineered structural system. They hold huge loads distributed evenly - they stack.

A manlift is much more robust.

I thought the same thing and I think they would work out well for that so long as you only need something to help you balance or catch yourself. With a strong cage manlift I would not hesitate to lean hard the cage. The IBC cages would work fine as something to keep your free hand on to keep from falling. It is definitely better than the alternative ... simply standing on a flat pallet.

One guy I bought six of them off him said he used them every year as the framework for a haunted house for his local church ... He said the kids loved them (tipped on their sides with the pallet removed)
