G'day the white smoke is either the unburnt fuel or the WD if you can get your hands on a can of ether give it a three second shot whilst cranking and it should fire straight up as i have said before it is a very handy tool when used responsibly

Not sure what you've done so far, but start by bleeding filters, then bleed to lift pump, then to injector pump, then bleed the injector pump itself, and FINALLY bleed each individual injector. Just a little air CAN cause the entire fuel delivery system to air lock.

Don't even tell me if you've used ether.

There's nothing wrong with ether itself.. however.. there is alot wrong with the average person and how much ether he uses for an application.

Anybody here remember the "purple ether pills", you could use more than one but it helped to limit the dose. They were standard equipment with a Detroit diesel in the cold!!

Nothing wrong with ether, so long as it stays in the can!

Diesels get addicted to it. Diesels scatter parts all over the ground because of it.

G'day you don't change spark plugs with a hammer what i am saying is used correctly a can of ether is a very handy tool, yes you can go overboard with the stuff but you dont need to run the engine on it for minutes on end, all i am saying is that we used to have a 3208 that if you ran it out of fuel you could use tern sets of batteries bleeding and cranking and it would not bleed the injector itself a, a quick sniff and by getting it to fire you would raise the inj pressure high enough to bleed the inj and away it would go. It's not addictive if you need to use it all the time then your prob lays deeper than ether. Anyhow enough of my raving give it a sniff and best of luck

And what we are saying is it is very rare to find someone who uses it correctly.

you might have wanted to run that cat3208 into the dealer... we have plenty of 3208 powered yellow machines.. I don't recall ever needing ether to recover from a loss of go-juice.
