Going to Sell The B7510. What's It Worth?

Well, in order to meet the current trade offer from my dealer, I'd have to sell my tractor outright for $12,000 - just to break even - tractor to tractor - no options. I have included currently in the deal the four-position control valve, trading my Land Pride rear blade for a new more properly sized Woods blade... if I decide to, but I'm not sure yet, grille guard (either standard or BX model one), two grab hooks and one slip hook on the bucket, and a new ballast box. I'm betting there's close to $600 of stuff added there, so I'd have to sell my tractor for close to $12,700 to really break even. That just isn't close to what the local market will bear, and I don't have time to "show" the tractor while keeping it clean and using it at the same time, or time to let it sit while I push for the $12k. Yes, I agree the change will cost money, but what doesn't these days. I'm sure if I wanted to drag this our a few more weeks, I could snag a better deal, but time is money, a local dealer is more desired for future needs, and the 0% is an attractive option even though my balance couldn't buy a good push mower.

Robertm,
I here you on the trade problem. I am in a similer situation. I want to go up in size not down though. I just could not swallow the offer I got on the 7510 trade. I will have to sell private or just not buy. I am tempted to trade but hope sanity keeps with me and I don't.
Rob
ps. any one want to buy a 7510 with 112hrs?

112 Hours? Mine has 225. Well, screw sanity. I caved in. I'm picking it up tomorrow if the dealer has it prepped in time.

I don't know exactly how this might apply, but I had an experience selling/trading a pickup a few years ago that might help (sorry for length, hope I'm clear).

I had ordered a pickup from a local dealer (because they didn't have anything even close to what I was seeking on the lot). Since it was going to be a month before the new one arrived and my wife and I could do a week or so with only one vehicle I put the used on one sale (at the bottom end of "private sale" value but about 1500 more than what I was offered for trade).

It sold (for my price), but late on a Saturday so we'd have problems swapping over the registration (and the guy lived about 2 hours away so everybody was attempting to avoid the extra trip). I called the dealer see if they could help. They apparently have done this a lot; when I came in they told their used manager that I'd "sold the trade" and to work out the paperwork. What this involved was was bumping up my trade-in value to what I'd sold it for, and then turning right around and selling it to my used buyer for that amount, charging only the document fee (which I picked up because this deal was making me some serious additional coin - about 1500 plus sales tax on that difference since cars in Ohio are taxed on the difference). Since the vehicle and sale was now "theirs", their finance arm handled the buyer's check (removing that potential problem from me). For the dealer, they now didn't have to handle moving my trade along - the deal for them became simply selling me the new truck.

I don't know how flexible your dealer might be; if you really want the new one and can wait long enough to make the sale this might be an option.

1*I have been contemplating downgrading to a BX for two years now.
Because the B7510 is too intimidating for the DW to mow with, and the DS will be mowing in a year or so, am seriously contemplating
2*downgrading to a BX2660 or a JD2305. I don't need the larger B7510, which really only seems to only offer more ground clearance over the BX. The extra 3pt lifting capacity of the B7510 will never be an issue for me, either, as the largest implement I'll ever use (if even I do) will be a tiller.
3*The loader on the BX is close enough to the B7510 in capacity that my gravel, black dirt, mulch, and snow removal tasks will certainly not be compromised by the BX.
I think the BX will be an all better machine for the DS to mow with, but still allow me to retaine my loader capability.
1*The proper word is downsizing.
2* Downsizing.
3*But will it Load a fullsize 4x4 pick up ?
