I'm currently in the market for a CUT. I have narrowed my choices to a Kubota
L3400 and the John Deere 3038e or the 3032E. I'm leaning heavily toward the John Deere. I hadn't even considered the John Deere until my second trip to the Kubota dealership. The salesmen there acted like they were doing me a favor talking to me so I went down the road and though I'd just take a look at JD. I tell the salesman the price ($18495) on a package deal I was looking at at Kubota. (
L3400 gear shift, trailer, 5ft. box blade, 5 ft. rotary cutter and FEL, R1 tires) and ask him his price for a comparable JD package. He tells me $18295 for a 3032e with and the same package as Kubota. What? John Deere is cheaper than Kubota? That can't be! Not only was it cheaper but the 3032 has hydrostat transmission. The trailer JD has is a much more heavy duty tube frame. The Kubota guys were offering angle iron framed trailer and said I could get a tube frame trailer for $18995.
I'm actually looking at the 3038e now for $1000 more than the 3032. Before I began shopping for a tractor I never even considered John Deere because I ASSUMED they would be more expensive. My dad owns a Kubota
L3400 and has never had any problems with it so I knew they made quality stuff but due to John Deere offering a better deal I will be driving GREEN soon!
