Don't believe these posts- you've got a drive system defect, or Bobcat has a false advertising problem.

What series do you have? Do happen to know the date of manufature or have your serial number handy? Are you very experieced with how a 4 wheel drive vehicle handles.

o7 serial number a0w11660 , i have noticed all 4 wheels are spinning, i'm thinking the tire tread pattern and damp sandy soil combo give the toolcat trouble , it climbs great pushing the 90 inch mowing deck up hill if the soil is dry and not so sandy thank you

i have traction issues too using the brushcat in soft conditions. I have a late B series. I also have over 11000 hours in Bobcat skid steers. The standard tire is not very good in sandy conditions especially if you have them aired up to max pressure. I imagine the 90" deck is heavy. It sounds like there isn't enough weight in the machine and too much down pressure. If all 4 wheels are spinning, then you don't have enough surface contact.

With the bobcat mower, you can't have any down pressure. The mounting plate floats and the boom can be lowered completely and still not put any additional weight on the mower/wheels. The deck is heavy, and if the soil is sandy, the mower wheels may be sinking and giving traction problems. I have a D series with 90" mower and no traction issues but the soil is not sandy. The OP may do better by lifting the rear of the mower slightly and carry a little weight on the TC. Keeping the front tipped down will allow it to float over the terrrain. However, the cut may not be as good.
