Nice tractor!....I really like the tires and would like to learn more about what is mounted on the rear
Thank you for your appreciation, I'm really thrilled with the machine.
The dealer was a bit upset by my order of Ag tires with the mower but humored me and I'm quite pleased with the result. Experience has taught me that a tractor can easily get stuck around here and needs a lot of traction to handle tree trunks and such.
As most of you have already guessed, the big akward thing on the back is a three point hydraulic hedge trimmer. The model name is LICORNE (a unicorn) and it's built by the British firm S.M.A. It uses the tractor's hydraulics for the rams and the motor. I guess you coud also use it to cut the grass around your pond, but I don't have a pond.It can manage a horizontal cut at 3.2 meters (10' 6'') and a vertical cut up to 4.5 meters (14' 9'').
Judging by the massacre I did on a couple of my hedges, I can tell you the operator needs a lot of practice to obtain decent results, but it is very fast.
Here are a few more pictures of the thing.
Very nice setup!
How hard would it be to take off the trimmer...and put it back on???
It looks like it has it's own built-in QA setup to attach it...VERY cool!
