Hydraulics slowly leak down when under a load. What do I have to do to fix?

There are many posts about this. search and you'll find much info. something is leaking, could be your spool valve or lift piston ring. I'm not familiar with Ford 3000, but I'm sure you have a rate of drop knob right under you seat. Raise something with your 3 point, then close this valve completely tight. If your valve is holding tight and your implement drops slowly then you have a small leak in the seal. changing seal is easier on 1000 series than some of the older design. if your implement does not drop then I'll look elsewhere.
