I just did the 300 hr service on my B7800. When filling the hydro fluid, I overfilled it by quite a bit; not running out of the fill hole, but over the max level on the dip stick by about an inch.

Is this a problem? If so, what is the best way to drain the excess fluid and catch it for re-use? If it is a problem, what are the problems it can cause?

My thought would be that it would take 5 minutes to drain a little bit out of the drain hole to get it within the manufacturer's recommendation. Honestly, even if someone on here told me it was OK to be an inch over I'd get it right because it's me that would be fixing (or paying) if something happened down the road. Five minutes of time for peace of mind?

I have my BX overfull by a quart and it has caused no problem. The hydro has a breather and none has come out. My thot is that since there are no reciprocating parts of any significant size there isnt an issue of pressure fluctuations to cause damage to seals. I may try to suck a bit out one of these days if I get time, but it seems a non issue.
