Lower the price before I purchased.

I have a L3830 HST and love it. If I was to nit pick I would say the location of the fuel fill should at least be on the other side of the tractor or moved so I'm not trying to fill around FEL hoses / lever. As others have mentioned a place for a small toolbox would be nice as well. Maybe pre-wire something for a reverse mounted light. Lastly the HST is frequently difficult to get in gear without rocking the F/R foot rocker a bit. Otherwise - a super solid, well engineered machine.

for my 3240hstc:

rounded sloped hood for better loader visability.
horn to be standard on all grand L tractors
4x4 light
brake light
sunvisor
hat holder
lower vents for heat on your feet
air seat option
tiltmeter option
filter guards
loader level indicator (electronic)
stronger top link

OK. One more thing.

I'd like a quieter muffler.

I know... it's a wonderful sound, but its pretty loud for a compact tractor that is likely to be used on smaller properties within earshot of neighbors.

If it were quieter, I'd probably feel better about starting a little earlier or running a little later.

And I'd rather not have to use ear protectors.

Who's made their BX24 quieter?

6 am is not 2 early to start in the country .
Most of my close adjoining neighbors have to be up by then in order to get ready to go to work so the sound of my BX is not an issue.
The neighbors are up till at least 10 PM so running the tractor till that hour isn't a problem either.

Not much of any tractor I can't fill real easy with this.

LBrown, I am curious about your fueling setup. Can you post more pictures or more of an explanaton on the pump? I now use a 55-gal drum and a rinky-dink hand pump. I have ever thought of putting a air line on it with a pressure regulator and a d*** good pressure relief valve to fuel through a pump handle like LBrown shows, but not comfortable with pressurizing the barrel.

Thanks.

As far as nit-picking, 4wd light would be nice, larger tool box and easier to get to

L4400 gear

*Parking brake light indicator or lockout.

*Smoother transmission that doesn't grind like a cheap coffee mill

*1 or 2 more gears

*Metal fuel tank neck that the fuel nozzle doesn't warp when fueling it (I'll guarantee it's going to split eventually)

*A better way to indicate the FEL bucket is level. The current one is worthless.

*Replace the Yard Machines lawn mower seat for a better seat

Besides that, I love it! ;)

I have a 55gal poly drum set up with air pressure. My air compressor has a regulator, but only goes down to 5 pounds. I crank the regulator all the way off, then crack it open just until I hear a faint hiss. I guess I'm getting .5 to 1.5 PSI, which is all you need to pump fuel. Most 55 Gal. drums come with vented caps, meaning they have a thin membrane that will blow long before the drum splits. Any source of low pressure air is enough to move fuel 4' high.

10-4 on the 4WD indicator light and tool box.

I built this one during April & May of 2008.

This was my first attempt at building one and features a single 30 gallon drum.

LBrown, I am curious about your fueling setup.
1*Can you post more pictures or more of an explanaton on the pump?
2*I have even thought of putting an air line on it with a pressure regulator and a dang good pressure relief valve to fuel through a pump handle like LBrown shows,
3*but not comfortable with pressurizing the barrel.
4*I now use a 55-gal drum and a rinky-dink hand pump.
Thanks.
1*Sure enough.
2*That's what I was planning but was talked out of it due to safety reasons.
3*see *2.
4*You can get a 12 volt elect diesel pump about like I used from northern tool .
Last I heard was a price of 140 bucks which ain't bad as all other pumps are 200 300 even 400 or 500 bucks.
========================
Here are pictures of the Second Rig I built last November in 2008 and it features a duel drum system consisting of 1 30 gallon drum and 1 55 gallon drum

*The storage drum needs to be vented to prevent pressure build up in the drum.
The fact that the drum has to be vented presents a problem in pressuring the drum .
