The 40 hp version is essentially middle of the road for specs.
Please elaborate I really want to hear this.

If you want to run a hydraulic PHD on a compact tractor, don't buy one
that is intended for a skidsteer. I suggest the Worksaver 714H, which
works fine with 7GPM. I have used them on my backhoe.
I didn't say that is was below par I just said it is middle of the road
We all agree it has alot of implement flow
Other things standout though
The tractor weight is good compared to Deere and Kubota but the TYM and Kioti out weigh it. Remember they are weighing this tractor with industrial tires everybody elsees weights are usually measured with the Ag tires
It has a 3 cylinder diesel which is strange for a 40 hp tractor. You do see 3 cylinders coming back in larger hps to meet Tier 3 and 4 but most in this size are 4 cylinders
Its PTO hp is about the same as most but the engine hp is rated at 2800 rpm
Mahindra does not list the wheelbase but by the length of the tractor you have to assume it is about 70" which is not bad but by no means close to the best.
The rest of their specs are good but not the best in class.
Overall I think Mahindra did a good job with this series of tractors. No tractor is going to be the best at everything. Their website touts it to be head and shoulders above everything. The 35 hp tractor is going to out spec everything because it is a 40 hp tractor with a 35 hp engine. The 40 hp tractor is very similar in specs to all the other 40 hp tractors that it.
