Well, I've done that a few times, the mail that is.

How about the time we hauled a folding quilting table home for my wife. It was in a box, weighed well over 200 lbs and was super bulky. I was able to lift it out of the pickup, move it 40 yards and place the box on the porch. It was rolled into the house on its wheels and never had to be hand lifted. All done with the loader and the "Add-a-Grapple" on the tractor. Then there was the same problem with the generator, set it right in the doorway of the screened in porch that it resides on now, with no heavy lifting on my part. What a machine...

Just to get out of your wife and kids way. Spend some time riding around the yard until her soaps go off or she finishes dinner or what ever you need to be out of the way of.

For me it's often a big orange wheel-barrow. GREAT to haul all the assorted fence repiar materials, shovel, loppers, etc. as I drive around the fence perimeter. Beats inflating the REAL wheelbarrow tire!

I use it to bribe my two year old son at times. When he is in a very bad mood I promise him some tractor time if ..... (fill in the blank). He does remember and Yes. I do keep that promise. Sometimes we just go out for 10-15 minute ride if I can not come up with any real thing to do with the tractor.

Used the FEL as a beer/beverage cooler when going over to the neighbors for a BBQ. Just filled her up w/ ice and off I went.

My "reason" for "needing" vs. wanting one was so that I wouldn't have to go through back surgery in a few years. So I use it anytime I have to lift anything over 30 lbs over long distances. I've used the loader to fill it up with water and take it to water my plants that my hose cannot reach. Easier than hauling 5 gallon buckets.

Wouldn't happen to have a link to that post would you ?
