I think I want a new 2305 with the 62" deck and thats it. I already have a 4300 TLB for other stuff. I just can't see spending that much or more for the X595 or whatever they call it now. Plus the 0% applies to the 2305 not X series. Too much money to spend for a mower?

How much are you mowing? Did you give up on the Mid-PTO?

Myself just for mowing I'd rather have a select series if only for the better seat. I think the 2305 is overkill for mowing, no need for MFWD or 3ph. As for the seat I see you once had a 2210, enough said about that.

Yeah, not the best seat! Yes I am giving up on the mid pto kit- I can't find one or I would go that route for sure! I had an X585 and the seat is not that great either. For the money, the 2305 is the way to go if you wanted a diesel mower anyways and I have a 3 point and rear pto which are big buck options on an X. The 2WD Xseries diesel costs close to the same as 2305. Sounds stupid for mowing but the 0% for 60 makes my cheap *** want to spend JD credits money! Maybe I am getting caught up in the moment, who buys a lawnmower coming into October? I guess me. I would like a real nice 455 diesel if I could find one. Or an X495/595 if the price was right.

it may have been said elsewhere, but if you just want a machine to mow with, considering you have a 4300, get a z8xx. it'll out mow the 2305 and be cheaper.

But no 0% for 60mo.

I really think you may want to double check that. The August offering was 0% for 42 months (according to website), the September offer shows as 0% for 36 months (on 2000 series). Just sayin' since your decision seems to be revolving heavily around that.

Inst on an x series vs no inst on a 2305 makes the 2305 a no brainer.

Dealer is running a special promo. They have a bunch of money in a bank with JD credit to buy down interest rates. Similar to buying points on a mortgage but they have to use it up or lose it. Not really costing them anything at all but once that kitty is gone, so is 0 for 60. Some other dealers are doing it and I have it in writing. Bad news is I may be losing my job here real soon, economy is still bad for buying trains I guess. They are pretty expensive too, worse than JD tractors.
