Dealer is running a special promo. They have a bunch of money in a bank with JD credit to buy down interest rates. Similar to buying points on a mortgage but they have to use it up or lose it. Not really costing them anything at all but once that kitty is gone, so is 0 for 60. Some other dealers are doing it and I have it in writing. Bad news is I may be losing my job here real soon, economy is still bad for buying trains I guess. They are pretty expensive too, worse than JD tractors.

Well, its good that your dealer has that option for you. If any of my JD dealers have it available, they haven't mentioned it.

Sorry to hear about the job though. :( Hope it works out for you.

Wish I had the guts to buy something on a 5 yr credit plan when I was looking at a lay-off! However, if your dealer is really looking at losing that banked credit he may be willing to extend the offer on a zero turn. That would be a better mowing option all around since you already have the TLB. Push back on the dealer...

And good luck with the job situation.

Hopefully I would be back by 2011, not sure if I want to get it now.

Hopefully some of this "stimulus" money will find it's way into helping things pick up for you at work........ we sure need our trains!

I bought a 2305 62" MMM a couple of years ago to use solely as a mower instead of a dedicated mower because I needed the 4WD for steep inclines and got a pretty good deal on it. I hate the seat and don't much care for the controls, but my kids/grandkids do and that is all that counts.

What was the deal?

Sorry about that, I forget the exact price, would have to pull the paperwork, but it was mid $12k and I did not have to pay sales tax because it qualified for "farm use".

It has the hydraulic deck lift with the joystick as opposed to the 3-point hitch lift.

That lift would add some cost.

Well, got the word today. I am permanently laid off in 60 days. Guess I won't be able to take advantage of that 0 for 60.
