What are your measurements between front and rear tires if I might ask. Thanks for taking this on and posting your results with pic's.

Chris

We are measuring the distance between two round object here. The clear span, on the concrete floor of my shop where the tractor is parked is 44"
The distance of clear span, at the apex of both wheels, is 32".

The loss of clear span should be a simple matter of arithmetic. You go from a diameter in front of 16" to 18", which is net gain of 2", but only a net loss of clear span 1". In the back, you go from a 24" diameter to a 26" diameter, which also result in a 1" loss of clear span between the wheels. Total loss of clear span thus is 2". Hope this helps.

The story - Part 1

1*First, let me say, I love my 18.
2*But the other BXs come with 18" front tires, while the 1860 comes with 16".
The rears are 26" and 24" respectively.
3*The BX1500-BX1850-BX1860 models are identical to the other
BXs with 3" shorter frames.
2*Not all BX1500s & BX1800s have 16'' fronts and 24'' rears.
The BX1830 has the larger 18'' fronts and 26'' rears that are found on all the 2000 series.
The BX1500 BX1850 and BX1860 have smaller wheels and a shorter wheel base than do the 2000 series however the BX1830 has the same frame wheel base and wheels as a 2000 series.
3*The shorter frames aren't the only differenc between them & the 2000 series.
The 2000 seres are a bit bigger have a longer wheelbase bigger wheels weigh a little more and have about 4 or 5 more horse power.

Here are pictures showing one of my BXs with the 16 24 inch wheels and one of my other BXs with the 18 26 inch wheels.

Can you tell which one is which?

This is what I said much earlier in my story telling:

So why even bother? For 99% of the people, they won't bother and won't do anything and they don't need to. Nope, not at all. So, let's put that aside. This is about wanting to, not needing to. I fuss with my pickup truck too!! I am a geek about some stuff like this. I merely report the truth, I am not trying to convince anyone of anything, OK?

I have bought, oh, maybe 10 pickups in my life. First thing I do is drive it directly to my tire dealer guy. Been dealing with him for over 30 years. I trade off the ugly factory tires and wheels, he gives me a take off credit. On goes cast aluminum fancy wheels, slightly oversized but ever so tasteful, and some super quality tire of my choosing. It's just what I do. I like it. I like the looks and I like the improvement in my joy of owning the truck. If you don't "get" why I would do this with my pickup trucks you will never "get it" concerning this thread either. That's OK.
I love being me!! :D:D I am living vicariously through myself. :D:D:D

Apologies for boot legging the "before" for the side by side photo above. I didn't have a photo to use, with my own turfs.

Side by side. Yeah, I can tell the difference.

See I would have missed it. Why didn't you make it fair and post the pictures identical in angle, clairity, depth, etc. At first glance the one on the right appears to have bigger tires. I knew this was a trick !
