Ha, I figured the title would get some of you!

I just wanted to vent and say a big public THANK YOU to the horse's behind that dented in the tailgate of my truck and then took off at the shopping plaza yesterday. I appreciate your cowardace whoever you are!!

I know the odds of the person who did it being a TBN'er are slim but I'm sure many of you can relate. Grrr.

You sucked me right in  It's an international disgrace for sure. The most dangerous ones are pickups with their hitch sticking out of the receiver about 10".

I know how you feel. What would it take to just leave a note on your winshield and offer to pay for the damage - besides honesty?

Dave.

PS - I don't have a very good alibi for yesterday

Since most shopping centers now have video cameras in their parking lots, I wonder how hard it would be to get to view the tape. Would it take a court order?

I actually appreciate my first den, smack, windshield break scratch etc.

That is the day I can stop babying my vehicle and just treat it like a truck. It is freeing.

I park straddle of them lines not between them.
Saves on dents an dings.

Taking up 2 spots deliberately almost makes you as big a jerk as the guy that hit and run. I hate when people do that and usually do my best to park right up nice and close to their drivers door:rolleyes:

jimmy, sorry somebody did the hit and run thing. A couple years ago somebody in a large orange truck of some kind, ran their fender down the sides of our truck.

I know it had to be pretty large because of the height of the marks. Orange because our truck was covered in orange scrapes.

Now this was parked at the airport, and if theres anyplace with tons of cameras its there, so we went to the security office to see if they could shed any light.... Apparently the cameras "dont have enough detail"(ya right:rolleyes:) and they dont get involved in fender benders!!!!

Hope you find them, but i wouldnt count on support from security cameras, unless you find a security guard who actually gives a darn.

I tend to take my older p/u to the mall so I won't have to worry about it. I also tend to pull into places where people are having to avoid due to somebody taking two parking places up by parking on the lines. If I am just taking the wife for something, I grab a seat nearby and watch to see what happens when they get to their vehicle and can't get in due to it being too close to get in, much less open the door. Kind of fun to watch somebody with a console have to crawl across it to get to the drivers seat. I had one call a police and wanted it towed, but didn't get their wish due to the police officer having some sense. I stood by as an onlooker, not identifying myself as the owner until after they crawled thru the car to get out. Then I opened my door and picked up something off the seat and closed the door. I also write down the tag number or just take a photo of it before I leave it.

Well, what if I came into a busy parking lot 10 mins. after LB and parked next to him, then he leaves, you come along and think I am an idiot and need parking 'instructions'. You could be punishing the wrong person. :(

You can't fix all the defective people on your own :D If you go into the grocery store with your wife, you will realize 30% of the people in there can't drive a shopping cart let alone park their auto between the lines
