Attempt to start my bx25 and nothing happens I get a red symbol like one of the safty switches is on.I have the park brake on and am in neutral.Pto off and can hear the clicking of the solonoid engaging but the engine won`t crank. I have tried to jumper each of the 3 safty switches and all are worken fine.:confused:I have had the negative battery cable off for a while before this happened. No help from the manuel and I have read alot of threads here but too no avail.I`m sure I`m missing something simple.
Thanks for any Help.:)

Just some additional thoughts: Mid pto engaged? Cycle your hst pedal as it may get locked occasionally.

Did you try jumping the tractor it sounds like a loose connection or low battery my 5 year old 23's battery is showing its age and dose the same thing I jump with my truck and it spins over fine and starts.

Rock your hydrastatic pedal and see if it can find its safety neutral position. Any slight movement can impact this scenario.

Tried to boost the battery and I have the back of the tractor off the ground so I now it is in neutral.I have the front cowling off and have tried moving all the levers while the ignition is on and still no luck. I did have the rear hst shaft out but this shouldn`t effect it? She is locked out somewheres won`t even turn over.I was jumpering the safty out one at a time but maybe there are 2 faulty ones.I will try jumpering them all out next.Unless I`m missing another safty switch somehweres.
Thanks again for the Help Fellas.

I agree with others: it sounds like the HST pedal isn't centered.

my money is on a defective solenoid or starter.

also, wasn't there some trouble with the ignition switches on some of the bx series?

I have the center floor board out and was wondering if you could explain more on this subject.Do you mean the pedal itself is out of center?
Thanks for the help.I looked in the manuel and it says that the light that is on is a low oil pressure light but I`ve seen this light come on when I had the pto engaged and she wouldn`t start .

it sounds like the HST pedal isn't centered.

Not if he is hearing the starter solenoid click.

Means either he is not getting enough power to the starter motor or his starter motor is shot.

First being more likely than the last.

My BX will behave the same way (solenoid click but not turn) if the battery terminal is loose.

If he can hear clicking from pump, then the on part of the ignition is good. I agree that the HST or PTO switch or safety switch is kicking in somewhere- but OP states he got them all jumper ed out or at least most of them. What I would do next is put key in on position and dont try to start with key. Take a jumper cable and connect positive and the the little wire on starter and see if the starter engages. If starter engages then he still has a safety switch or ignition issue. If it doesn't engage on starter then he knows the solenoid or starter itself is bad. I believe testing it this way will allow you to figure it out from 2 ways from that point.

Hey Leitches?

Just wondering. You have a new tractor. I mean, that thing has GOT to be under warranty.

But it sounds like you have taken apart more stuff than my 5 yr-old BX (700 hrs). And I flog the living **** out of this thing!

What's up with that?

I got the clicking noise, I tries to use a battery pack to connect to the starter.I only connected the positive to the big red connection, Ahh does the little wire going into the starter also have to be powered in order for the starter to engage. With only the red wire connected I still have nothing at the starter. I use my gear to their fullest pottential with out abusing the **** out of them but I am a **** magnet for breaking stuff.I did try and protect the hst fan with a skid plate that had less than 1 inch gap from a side angle and that`s where the stick got her. I got over 80 hrs in about 4 months since I bought the machine.

Here are pictures of said safety switch for the pedal. This is a common problem.

Here is the entire thread that lead to this information.

Rocking your pedal merely allows the switch to find it's proper place to allow the machine to start. There is nothing magic about the alignment (being centered) of the pedal. The other poster was referring to the neutral safety position as am I.

Either access it for adjustment like is shown in the pictures or rock the pedal until it finds its proper position. I'd fix it and be done with it, if in fact this is the problem.

Hear`s a ? If the pto for your mower is not engaged should you be able to turn the shaft under your tractor by hand. Mine just turns slightly back and forth.I`m wondering if the pto for the mower is stuck on or something.
Checked my hst limit switch and everything check out fine. Hmn Time to call the dealer I guess.LOL.
