how many hrs is too many hrs for a new tractor delivered?

Mine had 3.5 hrs on it. I just look at it like this that was 3.5 hrs for some of the little bugs to show up and get fixed before i got it home.

Mine arrived yesterday with 2.7 hrs on it.

That's OK, mine had 1000 times that when I bought it!!!!!!!!!

I know of a dealer that sells the Chinese tractors. He hooks the PTO to a Generator and runs it under load for several hours. He says if it makes that, it usually will hold up. If it drops out for any reason, it gets warranty repairs before the customer ever looks at it. He figures it is a lot less embarrassing that having a mad customer, that will always doubt his tractor.

There's nothing wrong with that many hours. Mine had 10 on it when I bought it used last fall.

OK, now I am worried, when I bought mine I had .2 hours on it! Does that mean I am headed for trouble? I thought I really did well (buying brand new). I have about 30 hours on it now and everything seems perfect. Should I worry?

Nothing to worry about. I told the dealer I didn't mind if he ran, used or let people test drive my tractor to put a few hours on it to find any little "bugs". He laughed and said lots of people complain if their tractor has a few hours on it when delievered.

When mine was delievered 4 weeks later it had .1 hour on it. After a few hours I noticed a little hydraulic oil leaking, found a loose connection, tightened it and 48 hours later every thing works great.

Mine had about 2.5 hours. Figure it will have 30 minutes or so at the factory doing all the final checks. Then the dealer will do a prep and test run plus whatever adjustments needed. Then there is the test drives.
