After reading about them for years, I finally built mine. I used 10mm steel for the top and bottom pieces. The bottom has been tapped to receive the 12mm HT bolts that will also have nuts. There is one on each end of the bucket.

Now I have tried them, I know I should have made them years ago. All I need now is a little bit of orange paint.

What did that guy say about plagiarism and flattery? Very nice, I'll have to paint mine red however...

Front end loaders and backhoes are over rated. I think you should remove the hook and return yourself to lifting things by hand.

:D

Hey weedpharma,

Which Kubota FEL are those hooks attached to? Looks good!

I have bucket hooks welded on and they are fixed for front hookup, I like the Pivot that yours will do, there are many times I have wanted to hook the chain in the opposite way like chaining in a load on pallet forks that I built for bucket. May have to add a second set like yours. Nice job

Thanks for the comments but I cannot claim total originality as I got inspiration from fellow members.

They are fitted to my L4400.

The vertical piece can accept the hook or shackle in either hole. This gives me the option of hanging the chain from the front or rear, or, looping around from the back of the bucket to hook on to the front.

It has enabled me to pick up logs that I could not previously pick up as they would fall off the bucket.

You could take them to the chrome shop for that "Special" look.

perhaps his next project could be some custom spinners for all four wheels. :D

nice job weehpharma, i definitely like the ability to to move the hook from front to back and/or to be able to use a shackle. any reason you bolted 'em on versus welding?

There are 10 types of people who understand binary, those who do and those who don't.

Dang...I like that. I been hacking code since '72, hex, octal, and binary and it still took me a few seconds to get it!

I like your bucket hooks. The swivel looks like it would work great. I just welded some on my bucket i have used them about a half dozen times already. If I had seen your earlier I might have done something different.
