Is there only one breaker in that panel?

If so I'd move it out side run new wires to the breaker panel elsewhere.
and ask forgives if the inspector catches it just my opinion.

One 200A breaker.

If the existing panel is raintight move it out side if not replace it.

Inside put a female connector on the original threads and continue conduit down to an LB and in to the back of the new/ moved panel through the block replace wire with longer ones to the main panel.

The fire department would also much prefer to see that switch on the outside .

The fire department generally trumps the building dept.

Yep its easier for the owner to get reconnected by not pulling the meter !

The label says it's rain tight. Got all the block laid today. I stayed up late tearing everything out that was in the way of laying the block and ain't much good for nothing right now.

I didn't think of it till last night if you have a main breaker in the other panel you don't actually need one before it.

I had the block layers lay the block without extending the walls and it looks fairly proportional. So I will have to deal with the electrical box as I go along.
