New 54" blower mounted on my 1 year old X749. It appears to be very similar to the 47" with a few changes; the sheet metal sides are heavier and it now has a plastic impeller.

Turbo36,

That is awesome!!! I would love a snowblower!!! Unfortunately, I cannot justify getting one because though we get snow, it is not consistent enough to justify having such an expensive piece just sitting around. Also, I love your garage. Very neat and bikes. I do not know if it was you and I who once posted about our biking, but if so, I just ordered a Serotta 29er. Looking forward to getting it, but not paying for it.

Very nice! Good move from jd for the heavier side. Don't know about the plastic impeller. They look sturdy. Must be a reason for going plastic. Maybe less noise? Worst come to worst a person can always install the metal one if they are a problem, they look the same. Wish they would have made it with 4 blade instead of 3. All in all it is a nice blower. You will enjoy it, I'm sure. Let the snow come.;)

Serotta is a great company and there is a lot to say for having a bike hand built in America, Enjoy.

Here is a couple of pictures of my current rides: Orbea Alma 29er hard tail and Fisher Procaliber 26 full suspension.
The last picture is my wife's Santa Cruz Blur (last of the made in America frames) I built this up from a frame.

Very nice setup there Turbo,
It is snowing outside and were supposed to get anywhere from 12 to 24 inches in the next 24 hours. I may need to borrow it.

Looks great! Let us know how the plastic impeller works out.

Wonder if the plastic impeller will get brittle with the cold?
Hopefully JD did some testing before they released it to the costumer.

It's interesting that the Cyclone Rake also has a plastic impeller. They claim that it withstands impact better, and with less damage than a steel one does.
