HST fluid change drain pan for BX25

How about this.

I use a water trough from TSC. It is much lower than a five gallon bucket but will hold 18 gallons - for the M7040 and L48. Works fine for the BX2200 under the circumstances in the picture.

I have used a turkey pan also on the first two times I have done his. I will use the 5 gallon bucket when I do my 600 hr in another 40 hours.

I have one of those. I find it pretty clunky due to the width between the tires of my BX. what do you do? remove one of the tires ? that picture you posted is not even showing how you drained your BX's with it.

Here is what I use, It works perfect fits between the wheels and hold a little ove three gallons. Also it is easy to pour and clean. I think I bought at Wal-Mart.

Re: MBT

While I don't know the BX25 specifically, I have done other small tractors with obsructions and switched to this pan and method 20 years ago and it's worked perfect ever since.

There are different kinds of these mortar mixing tubs and I use an HD one but they hold a lot, are rugged and come in shallow or taller sizes.

I use a big one now but always change my oils in one and, while it can hold a lot, limit to 3 or so gallons so I can easily pour into a 5 gallon pail and funnel.

If the tractor is too low, I just lift it with a jack and slide the pan under or lift it and set on a couple 2 x 4's or even some car ramps. Has worked perfect for me and I can't recall spilling a drop in a very long time. The pan doesn't have to slide under the tractor unrestricted, you can lift it, slide the pan under and lightly set it back on the pan.
