Everyone that speaks the Queens Language knows that a Spanner is as explained below!:D:D

[In British English, spanner is the standard term. The most common shapes are called open-ended spanner and ring spanner. The term wrench refers to a type of adjustable spanner.[1]/QUOTE]

It is also an acronym for many other items.:D

The tip I have is when you have a place where a bolt needs to be held and you can only use one hand and need to place a flat washer, a split washer, and a nut on I put a magnet on the top of the bolt , which now will hold washers in place until the nut can be started.

Good tip!

If you can't get the magnet in place, a bit of beeswax works. You can get beeswax cheap if you buy a toilet bowl flange.

Did you ever have trouble with big fingers trying to hold a small nut in a tight place to start a bolt? Have you tried double sided tape (sticky on both sides) on the end of a finger, then stick the nut to it; i.e., have the nut stuck to the end of your finger instead of trying to grip it to hold it in place to start the nut?

Bird, I used your Ideal! I was working alone like most of us retired ones and was bolting something togeather and couldn't reach around far enough to hold the nut while trying to put the bolt thru the other side! It saved me from wainting till the wife got home to do the job! Thanks,:D

I wonder if they recycle them at the slaughter house.

They do.

The only cow magnets I saw as a kid were the ones after they had been in the cow.
