Grease on hands? I hate that!

Try this one...
Dawn dish soap, lather up, have wife pour granulated sugar on your palms, adds grit, will dissolve in drain, unlike pumice in some soaps (we are on a septic system here, will do anything to avoid plugging that up)

Cheap, ingredients always around, works well

One old Chief I worked for as a new 3/E used to mix up Tide & coffee grounds in a can. The Tide cut the carbon and grime from the lube oil and the grounds got it out of the cracks in your skin. It did a pretty good job as long as you used lots of water to clear the drains; otherwise the grounds would plug up the sink.
Works alomst as good as fried chicken.

Yup, I'm not a glove wearer for mechanical work unless it's outside in the cold, never had a problem washing my hands. any kind of good hand cleaner like GoJo etc.

I don't do mech work everyday, if I did maybe a different storey, Did a job at an old retired dentists building and took home several boxes of the latex gloves.

Anti seize is the worst. If I even think about opening a tube up it is all over me.

With 11 tractors, 3 combines , 3 trucks, a dozer and a backhoe and nothing newer than 10 years old with all repairs done ourselves it gets very interesting most evenings...!

I Wrench for a living, have used the gloves on and off, depende on my mood. currently i'm not using them, tired of them tearing every 10 minuted. When I worked at Firestone and did a lot of brakes I used the a lot more, and as the shop didn't buy them, even left them on and would wash my hands to get more life out of them.
