Did you ever try Goop - biodegradeble and about $1 at Walmart. It really works well on taking stain from your hands.

I just buy the boxes of nitrile gloves at Harbor freight for painting and greasy work. They fit tight enough to mess with nuts and bolts. Makes hand cleanup a lot easier

that's where I get mine.. Most autoparts stores also sell them.. Makes clean up a breeze

same here.. I love the nitrile gloves.. I found some black ones called ravens that are also almost texturized.. helps you grip a lil.. good tight fitting too.. then toss em.

Me, too. I've seen enough Lawn Order reruns to know it's ok to carry a pair in my pocket. And when I don't wear them a pre-clean with WD40 makes washing grease off easy.

I have work gloves that I use. I even wash them a few times before tossing. Yes sometime my hands get dirty, but GoJo takes care of it. If I have a little grime left around my fingers it usually comes out in the shower, if not? I'm not to worried about having dirty fingers for a day. It's not like I work in a kitchen or anything.

There are two kinds of GoJo, the gritty kind and the slimey kind.

IMHO the gritty kind, with pumice, is far superior. The slimey kind (kreme?), strips all the fat out of the skin on my hands, and they dry out and crack. The gritty kind wears off all the grease and also removes part of the callouses.

Visit auto repair shops --particularly those who work on diesels-- and you'll find lots of mechs wearing those disposable gloves.

Wish they were around when I was in refrigeration- working on a "sandwich unit" would cause your hands to smell of garlic/onion for DAYS afterward!!

(OK if you like garlic & onion, but not too much of a hit with the ladies....:D)

I have a box of those in my garage, courtesy of my daughter, but keep forgetting to use them....

I found that most solvents like brakleen and diesel fuel disolve the nitrile gloves.

i've had gas / diesel disolve laytex and vinyl gloves.. but have had great luck with nitrile.. but brakleen and other brake/carb solvents with laquer thinner.. that seems to pretty much eat em all up.

WD-40, a great hand cleaner!
