That is an "Egon Mill".
I made it myself. After finishing I discovered it is basically the same as a Beam Machine.
Do you have a set of spacers that fix the chain bar different distances away from the beam? Or does the round part slide further into the that traveling bracket holding the saw?
I'll bet it doesn't walk around on you much when sawing

It's quite stable. There are one inch spacers on the shaft.
It can produce square balks of lumber quite consistently.
It's also quite portable. Just the slider portion will work quite nicely. The stand you see in the picture is for smaller stuff or working in the yard.
