New guy here in this great forum. Thanks to ever made it possible. I am new to tractors and new to hydraulics. I bought a kubota B7100 about 3 weeks and and I am in the middle of adding a FEL to it that came off a Bolens tractor. Anyway, I have new seals for the cylinders and I am a little confused about how the seals go together. I have rebuilt many pneumatic cylinders, but never a hydraulic cylinder. The piston seals consist of 3 pcs. One is a round O-ring, simple enough. The other 2 are rubber washers that go on either side of the O-ring. These rubber washers are concave on one side and flat on the other. My question is...

Does the flat side of the washer go toward or away from the O-ring?

I made a quick drawing in CAD showing the 2 possible layouts. Any insight you guys can offer will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The backup rings cradle the o-ring. Flat side towards the piston; concave side towards the o-ring.
