Ok, so I pull in the driveway last night and my b2150 has the hazard lights on...I'm clueless so I park the truck and go over to invetigate. It's real dark so I just start feeling around for the switch and move it to off. The lights go off but a clicking sound persists. I don't think much of it. I come out the next day and start the tractor to make sure the battery is charged. I run the machine for 10-15 minutes or so and turn it off. The clicking continues. I leave and go to coach a basketball game and come home three hours later...still clicking. What's the deal? Any help appreciated.
thanks,
Josh

I have a feeling its your hour meter. Do you know how it works? Mine works only if the engine is running and is driven by the tach but its a Jinma and a Ford tractor. Many others are electrical. Is yours wired off the key or strait off the battery? Does it rack up hours even with the tractor not running? I had a boat one time that would allow the hour meter to run for 15 minutes after each shut down. So each 4 times I ran the tractor it added 1 hour. Never could figure it out. Had to do with the coil or something????

If you are leaving the key on this is it or the hour meter may be hot all the time. Is the tractor new or new to you????

I have 2 tractors. One is a Jinma 254/284 and the tach/hour meter is ran off a sensor mounted in the bell housing that picks up a sensor on the fly wheel. The other tractor is a Ford 861 Powermaster and its a cable driven tach/hour meter like the old spedo's in 70' cars.

IE : Jinma and a Ford Tractor.

The B2150 has the tach/hourmeter driven by cable-the clicking sound is most likely the shut off solenoid which turns off the fuel when the key is turned off.It should stop clicking after 20 seconds or so,enabling the engine to be started next time.Apparently, the timer relay system has failed-not sure from here.Give me a little more time to think about it.Good Luck!

Yeah, I don't have any extra hours added. It sounds like you may be on to something with the solenoid. What is the timer/relay system? Is this a big deal? The tractor is new to me, i just bought it like three weeks ago.
thanks,

Josh, this should really be posted in Kubota Owning/Operating for best results.I used to have a B1750-same family-B1550,B1750,B2150.The engine starting routine is turn the key to the glow plug position for 10 seconds or so.then crank to start. The shut-off procedure is turn the key off-engine stops. When you turn the key off,a shut-off solenoid mounted to the fuel injection pump activates a plunger stopping fuel flow, stopping the engine. After 20 seconds or so,a click is heard-this is a timer that stops the electrical current energizering the shut-off solenoid-leaving the engine ready to be restarted.
Maybe disconnect the power wire to the shut-off solenoid, stop with the manual stop cable and see if the clicking persists?
