Attached are a couple of shots of the outlet side of a cross double spool valve.

There is only one port on the outlet side of the valve and I am confused about this...it also says "out" on the same side but it has "BYD" directly on the port casting. I'm looking for any insights you guys have to offer...

I'm hoping this valve does have PB...here are the pics..

C'mon...nobody can help me determine if this valve has P BYD or not?

most of the other valves I have seen with pb also have a an out (return) port...can anyone clear this up for me?

thanks...

from the pictures no I can not. Do you have a model number on the valve bank? Is it for for a closed center or open center system?

Can you tell if the "out" port is also connected "internally ported" to the ends of the spools? I.e. spring chambers. If yes it can NOT be used for power beyond functions unless these covers will withsatnd system pressure.

If it is a PB valve, then it should have 7 ports. One of the out ports should have a T for tank port.

Show pictures of all sides.

The only numbers on the valve are 1Z 0202

and 78/109 (which I think are casting #'s ?)

Are there any other ways to identify the valve?

This is a power beyond port for sure, you would need to plumb it that way if you need it!

OK I am going to take a wild entirely uneducated guess and assume that this valve is a dedicated Power Beyond valve with no other outlet port?

I was told that the valve came from a working system...I have no idea what kind of system...I am assuming that the valve was used as part of a series and there was no need for a standard valve with PB option...again ?

here is a picture of a standard valve with PB option...note both valves marked have the same port marked "BYD"...this (new) one has that port plugged....note the port marked "out" is not machined on my valve but is on this one...

can anyone confirm that there is such a thing as a dedicated power beyond valve?

I just don't know...This is why I hate used valves. What did you pay for this?

I suspect it is NOT PB capable in it's present form.

Never heard of such a thing. EVERY other PB capable vavle I have seen/read about has a OUT or T port for the waste fluid from the spools...That is why I suspect this valve is not set up for it. It is probably a universal casting.

Thanks for the knowledgeable insight...I appreciate you being here...

About the valve...I paid $50 for the valve...one of the deciding factors was it came via free shipping...there was no mention of the valve having power beyond in the listing (the seller may not be the mechanic) so I was not realling expecting it...

If I have learned anything...this valve will have to be the last in a series or by itself in a circuit...is that correct? i.e., plumb the PB port of the preceding valve to the inlet side of this (topic) valve?

question...if there is a PB port on any valve that is not being used...does it just get plugged?
