John
I must just tell you what nobody else will. You are addicted, you are a Kubota JUNKIE. Right about now you feel like you will never need a new tractor. That is the same way you felt a few months ago when you bought the B3200 kubota. The first step in dealing with a problem is acknowledgeing that you have a problem. Hey wait these are tractors, what am I talking about forget what I said. Hey John has Barlows put your traded B3200 out on the lot yet?:D:D:D
Actually I still have it. The weather has been the pits here and to cold and icey to mess with transporting tractors. I have it in my storage space 2 miles down the road from Barlows. He'll probably pick it up later this week or next week and deliver the BX25 then. He does have some interest in it already. It will be a great deal for someone and he hopes to sell all the implements with it. The 12" auger PHD, Landscape rake and the 6' Landpride RFM. Said he would make someone a real deal if they'll take it all. Maybe who ever buys it will give me what I need to buy the smaller RatchetRake for the Ratchetrake that fits it.

OMG! Another trade?! seriously, you need to go on a lease program instead.

Only thing left to say is welcome back to the BX family and glad you dropped 2 digits! ;):D

I think I may be doing a little better monthly payments wise buying than the monthly cost of a lease and maybe eventually end up with a paid off tractor. Still have a 4 digit BX and a 4 digit F. Haven't ever left the BX business since I started 6 years ago. Don't think I can/will ever get away from a BX. Just out of the B and L business.:)

JohnThomas -- thank you for stimulating the economy, and helping to provide low-hours, well cared for pre-owned Kubotas for the "The Rest Of Us". :D:D:D

I got a great deal on my B7610 (which had only 124 hours on it at the time of purchase) from a person with similar habits. I also have a friend that trades cars on average about every 11 months. I have purchased a few of his "cast offs" as well.

Congrats on your new purchase, may you enjoy it in good health!!!

Jay

Have you given any thought to seeking out a little 'professional help' for your problem ??

I'm just sayin'. :)

I think John sees the professionals at Barlows with some frequency for his tractor issues. Seems to be working out well for him.

I have.:) I'm a Retired Government paid Counselor and now do Family/Marriage Counseling Privately. It's one of those "Physician/Counselor heal thyself" things.:) Guess I never absorbed the "Dealing with Addictive Behaviour" Training or the "Know Thyself" stuff.:) Also have bought over 130 cars but that has been spread out over 45 years so that's not bad at all.

If John's horse trading put himself or his loved ones into the poor house, that would be an issue. I now some guys have their tongues in cheek, but some guys are honestly wondering perhaps.

Yup, did counseling for 35 years are part of my professional life as well.

While just watching from a distance, which is all this is, my speculative opinion is that John knows exactly what he's doing and having fun at it. It hurts no one. His "losses" are little more then renting or leasing and I suspect much less.

It is his hobby. Horse trading for profit or just for fun is a sport, a hobby, a pastime, an interest. Guys spend a bunch more on their hobbies. Sports tickets, golfing fees and equipment, or you name it. I horse traded cars and trucks for 35 years, as did my dad before me. Even made a buck or two along the way. It's harmless fun and it has a practical side.

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming.

Are you from Kentucky? Wow, I've found my long lost brother!!!! You have hit it on the head. While my friends/coworkers were out golfing, boating, drinking, bowling, smoking, partying I was traveling around the country and trading vehicles. I've tried to explain to people the whole thing is "THE DEAL". Some understand and some don't.:) I've also helped alot of people to "Make a deal" or find them a deal.
