Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

HF should ship immediately.

They are on the pacific coast north of Los Angeles (Camarillo) and I see you are in the east, so expect a week in transit unless you upgrade shipping - which would be expensive on those large items.

I'm 400 miles north of them and stuff I have ordered from Camarillo, repair parts not merchandise, arrived quickly. They apparently shipped within 24 hours.

And I should add that their repair parts were very reasonably priced. I tied down a 20x20 tarp/carport with old junk ropes that broke so the structure got damaged by wind. Several connectors and a couple of 5ft poles cost me only $22 including shipping!

Order online and let UPS make the trip.

But, if you want a whole afternoon of good "manly" entertainment, make the trip to the store yourself and take your time shopping. I cannot ever get out of the store in an hour and most times it's more like two. They have so much in the store that everytime I go there, I see something new and fun. I have bought about a dozen sets (24 total) of the little LED flashlights they sell normally for around $4.99. I catch them on sale at two for $3.99 or sometimes two for $2.99. I also clip a coupon for a free one from many magazines so that each time I visit the store, I get a free flashlight. All my relatives got a set of flashlights in their Christmas stocking this last year.

I once opined that HF is free elder care for husbands. It is dry, safe, warm in winter cool in summer, entertaining, has rest rooms and snacks (or at least sodas) and it is free. A woman can drop off her husband and go off shopping knowing he will be entertained for hours, safe from mugging, lewd women, getting lost, or endangered by traffic.

yeah that's the thing those parts would cost a bunch for shipping but smaller items I should be ok on.

Also I seem to notice harbor freight seems to have two sites one which has prices and the other one does not?

I need to extend some HD wiring. Wire sizes of #4, some larger some smaller but not easy to deal with using "electronic size" or "normal" residential wiring type crimpers. Also when I "do" welding cable type crimping at home (the welding supply houses have good crimpers) I have to beat them with a hammer and improvised makeshift "dies."

So... I bought the Hydraulic wire crimper on sale at Harbor Freight. It has dies for all the sizes of interest and will definitely git 'er done. My only complaint so far is that it is a tad big and heavy to get into small restricted spaces but that should be an infrequent problem.

User report to follow after I get some miles on it.

Ahh I see.. I was thinking maybe one was old because the layout for the B&M one does not look as clean as the online version.

And I can't see why they can't list the prices on the B&M version as well.

It might be because the "prices" are so variable. Trying to get a true, regular price on a HF item is like cornering a rat in a silo.
