I liked the Mules until I sat in one. I'm 6'3" and my knees were touching the bottom of the steering wheel.

I went with a Ranger as I wanted a machine that could work and play, and the reviews I read indicated it could do both reasonably well. I fit much better in the Ranger, the steering column can be tilted to your taste, it rides great, has plenty of power, and will be putting it to work as soon as I can

I just purchased a JD620i because I could'nt afford a Kubota 1100. You can't go wrong with either JD or Kubota. Best quality and resale. IMHO

We all vote for anything we own (or have used) and really like. I have the Kubota and have not had any of the issues posted. It is new and has the "improved" shifting setup. There was some resistance to shifting the first few hours, but now it rarely happens. I also don't have power issues on steep hills, etc. Mine is the 1140 (2 seater) and is not a small rig - turning radius about only complaint I can think of. I like the Kawasaki also, but for the money difference, I believe I got a lot more out of the deal.

I just bought a Mule 610 XC. It is awesome! I'm 6'3" and 300lbs and I have plenty of room (it has a smaller wheel). It has great ground clearance, it is a nice easy size (fits in the back of the truck), and it tows/hauls like crazy!

It is however not fast, it only goes about 25mph.

I sold my ranger to buy it after test driving it.

You didn't mention what year or model of Mule. I have a 2008 3010 Trans which came with a height adjustable steering column. I haven't adjusted it but I am 6'-4" 210 lbs. and my knees clear the bottom of the wheel by 2".

wbhinton could you post more information on what you plan on doing with it? What are moderate hills to you if you live in the rocky s moderate hills might be extreme hills compared to if you live in Florida. What tasks do you want this machine to do? Are you needing heavy hauling capabilities, and don't care about speed, speed and agility, or a mix. Are you driving mostly on roads and established trails or are you purely off road? Do you want speed or are you happy putting along at 20. What is your budget? Thanks this will help to keep this this tread a little less subjective and more objective.
